SWPA will offer private viewings every Sunday through the month
of August invites those interested to call at (888)401-5066 to schedule
a visit. Tours start at 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, each hour on the hour the
White Buffalo herd will be available for viewing by making a
reservation. Your family membership gets you and your family (up to
six) in free, and you help us care for the buffalo as well.
These animals are tucked away in the Pine Mountain area of Bend, along
the Oregon Country Trail Tour route, and can be viewed in private or in
arranged school field trips, thanks to Alan and Loretta who volunteer
their expertise and time as well, as part of their sustainable farming
program. Space is limited so get your reservations in right away.
Call 888-401-5066 for reservations or more info.

The herd of the White Buffalo are doing well in their new home in Bend,
Oregon. They are beginning to cycle again, which may bring new members to the
family. We are so pleased with their care at Pine Mountain Buffalo Ranch, a
sustainable farming operation.
We know times are hard for everyone, and we are hoping that you could keep the
buffalo in your budget this year until we can establish a more permanent support
funding program.
We are also pleased to let you know that we qualified as a public foundation for
education, which will allow us to teach children and adults the traditional and
non-traditional ways of the White Buffalo. We are on the Oregon Trail Tours
program through the Ranch, and tours have begun every Sunday for the month of
August.
We are asking for your prayers and support as we make a new way possible for
peace to become a way of life. The White Buffalo are growing through all of us
for this very reason. We could use your help now with their board and
feed. Would you consider donating online. Just click on the donations tab, we
accept credit cards online.
Thank you again for your continued interest and support for our efforts on the
behalf of these rare, magnificent animals.
The White Buffalo are a symbol of peace and abundance, and we are blessed to
have them in Oregon, while the world follows their living story. Please help us
spread the word about these sacred animals and their symbolism to us all.
Send us your prayers and support, we’d love to hear from you.
Today's thought from Hazelden is:
In every conflict, ask, "Would I rather be peaceful or right?"
The choice to be peaceful rather than right doesn't actually mean our opinions
are unimportant. In fact, our particular opinions may make more sense in the
larger scheme of things. Letting go of the battle is certainly far more sensible
than the folly of expecting to change another person's mind. I credit Al-Anon
with strengthening this resolve in me. The power of detachment, the willingness
to choose to be peaceful rather than make every conversation a battleground, is
freedom at its very best. There is no mystery in how this is done. It's a
decision any one of us can make as often as the opportunity to disagree comes
up.
We don't really even have to hope for a more peaceful life. It's ours just as
quickly as we make the choice to want something different in our daily
interactions. Remember, those who come forth provide us with opportunities for
practicing peace.
