Prophecy
PROPHECY AND THE TURNING OF THE AGES
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." -- Harold Thurman Whitman
Koyaanisqatsi. Hopi term for “life out of balance.”
"Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls."--Jeremiah 6:16.
At this time at the beginning of the millennium, there is much speculation about the so-called “end times” and “2012.” Catastrophes, apocalypses, various endpoints of cultural calendars, as well as world renewal and oncoming Golden Ages are common themes. We present here some of the prophecies of these times.
The Elders, who knew they would pass before the Great Changes, told those who were "listening early" what they wanted those who were "listening late" to know about how to equip themselves for the changes ahead.
It’s Written in the Stars
In the time before incandescent lighting and television drove most of us indoors after sunset, sky watchers by moonlight or starlight made precise observations of celestial mechanics. They knew the farthest reaches of the visible universe as intimately as we know our own neighborhoods. Any disruption of the natural rhythms in the firmament soon became glaringly apparent.
Collective humanity is at the end and beginning of an entire 26,000-year cycle, with 1997-1998 as the center point. This is the time of the Turning of the Ages. The signal for this Turning of the Ages is written in the stars.
The plane of our Solar System—the path that the Sun, Moon and planets travel—is seen in the sky as the Zodiac. In the night sky, there is one very clear and even dramatic phenomenon that cuts the circle of the Zodiac. It is the Milky Way! The plane of our galaxy cuts the Zodiac/Ecliptic belt at about a 66-degree angle in the region of the zodiacal constellations of Sagittarius and Scorpius.
The movement of the Solstice and Equinox points completes one entire circuit of the Zodiac in 25,820 years. For short, we call this a 26,000-year Cycle. This is similar to the Cycle spoken of in the Mayan Calendar. Throughout most of history, the majority of the calendric traditions on the planet began with the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice point has been, and still is in some cultures, the beginning and the ending of a calendar.
This 26,000-year Cycle is marked by the precession of the Equinoxes and Solstices. This phenomenon is caused by the interaction of the 23-1/2 degree tilt of the Earth’s axis (creating the seasons) and the wobble of the Earth’s axis (causing entirely different stars to mark “North” over the 26,000-year Cycle, among other things). The interaction of the tilt and wobble of the Earth’s axis causes the Solstice and Equinox points to move backwards, or precess, one degree every 72 years through the Zodiac and it takes 26,000 years to complete one turn.
May of 1998 is the exact date that the renowned European master astronomer Jean Meuss calculated for when the Winter Solstice point exactly aligned with the intersection point of the Milky Way Galaxy and the Ecliptic—the plane of our Solar System—in the direction of Galactic Center in the constellation of the Archer/Sagittarius, dramatically heralding the end and the beginning of an entire 26,000 year Cycle. (He referenced the May 1998 date in his book Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, Willman-Bell, 1997.)
What different cultures say about these times and their messages
HOPI
Prophecy Rock
They predict a 25-year period of purification followed by the End of the Fourth World and beginning the Fifth World. The Hopi tribe of approximately 7,400 members lives on 1,561,213 acres allotted to them by the U.S. government in the northeastern part of Arizona. For many years Hopi prophetic tradition has received attention in numerous publications. Among the more popular accounts are Frank Waters' The Book of the Hopi (first published in 1963) and, more recently, The Hopi Survival Kit (Mails 1997). Interpretations of the prophecies have been handed down as part of the Hopi oral tradition; they are also based on information from rock carvings and a number of stone tablets held by different clans.
This is an account given by White Feather, Bear Clan, Hopi Tribe:
“The return of the Blue Star Kachina (blue sun) who is also known as Nan ga sohu will be the alarm clock that tells us of the new day and new way of life, a new world that is coming. This is where the changes will begin. They will start as fires that burn within us, and we will burn up with desires and conflict if we do not remember the original teachings, and return to the peaceful way of life. Not far behind the twins will come the Purifier 'The Red Kachina (red sun), who will bring the Day of Purification. On this day the Earth, her creatures and all life as we know it will change forever. There will be messengers that will precede this coming of the Purifier. They will leave messages to those on Earth who remember the old ways."
The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.
The Nine Signs of Hopi Prophecy
First Sign: We were told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana – men who took the land that was not theirs and who struck their enemies with thunder. (Guns)
Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. (Covered wagons) Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. (Longhorn cattle)
Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron. (Railroad tracks)
Fifth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed by a giant spider’s web. (Power and telephone lines) Sixth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun. (Concrete roads and their mirage-producing effects.)
Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it. (Oil spills)
Eighth Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like our people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn our ways and wisdom. (Hippies)
Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of the Hopi people will cease.
These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands – with those who possessed the first light of wisdom.
Many of the people, understanding the prophecies, shall be safe. Then there will be much to rebuild. And soon – very soon afterward – Pahana will return. He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even now the seeds are being planted. These shall smooth the way to the Emergence into the Fifth World.
Rather ominous, but in many ways consistent with Mayan Prophecy, telling of the "Transition" which is occurring now and will 'apex' in December 2012.”

Some have begun to notice it is not just the "external" (earth changes) which are shifting, but humans as well.
Remember: We too have magnetic fields which surround each of us. It is not unrealistic to conjecture what is happening "externally" is also happening "internally." We believe current science will acknowledge this notion, showing the Sun's "charged particles" and its influence on Earth's magnetic field is the impetus of change. In-like, this same causal effect occurs with human magnetic fields ushering in a change or "transition." Perhaps this is what our Mayan elders are trying to tell us—
We have come into "Sun cycle 24." NASA has stated that cycle 24 will be up to 50 percent stronger than "Cycle 23" in which we witnessed the largest solar flare ever recorded. This means larger earth changing events in the way of earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and various storms. But it also means we (humans) will be bombarded with charged particles via severe geomagnetic storms from the Sun.
The White Roots of Peace Gatherings
Our ancient Cherokee "Elohi" (traditions) tell of a time when "the children of the stars will come to the aid of Elohi Gi ni lisi (Earth our Mother). So, for some time we had been expecting "Aliens" to land and straighten things out. However, the same Elohi also teaches us that "in the long, long past, seven brothers came from the stars and married with the children of the Sun..." and from this union the native Peoples of this continent were born. So, I believe, the truth is that WE ARE the children of the stars and it is us that must take the responsibility to "come to the aid of Mother Earth" and all her inhabitants.
The following article is from a Native publication. It reaffirms the wisdom and sight of the Elders and strengthens our resolve to take responsibility and make a difference.
The following excerpts are from a prophecy that was delivered by Cherokee Lee Brown in 1986 at the Continental Indigenous Council, Fairbanks, Alaska. (The words in parenthesis are summations.)
(They prophesied the coming of the automobile and soon after, the 'First Shaking of the World' - The First World War). "...And so they knew something very important would happen. There would be an attempt to make peace on earth on the west coast of this land...They began to hear that there was going to be a League Of Nations in San Francisco, so the elders gathered in Arizona around 1920 or so, and they wrote a letter to Woodrow Wilson. They asked if the Indian People could be included in the League Of Nations. The United States Supreme Court had held that a reservation is a separate and semi-sovereign nation, not a part of the United States, but protected by it. This became a concern because people...didn't want them to be considered nations. So they did not write back, and the Native people were left out of the League of Nations so that circle was incomplete...The elders knew that peace would not come on the earth until the circle of humanity is complete..."
(Mr. Brown went on to relate how the Nazi presence and the "Second Shaking of the World" was foretold. He then went on to relate how the "rising sun in the east"—the rise of Japan—was foretold and its subsequent Nuclear disaster.) "The worse misuse of the Guardianship of the fire is called the gourd of ashes. They said the gourd of ashes will fall from the air. It will make the people like blades of grass in the prairie fire, and things will not grow for many seasons... the atomic bomb... The Elders wanted to speak about it in 1920...The elders tried to contact President Roosevelt and ask him not to use the gourd of ashes because it would have a great affect on the earth and eventually cause even greater destruction and a Third Shaking of the Earth, the Third World War.
So they knew after the Second Shaking of the Earth, when they saw the gourd of ashes fall from the sky, there would be an attempt to make peace on the other side of this land... they would build a special house on the east coast of this Turtle Island, and all the peoples of the earth would come to this house... So the elders began to see they were building the United Nations... So they met and talked about this. (Because they had not been responded to in 1920) ...they said we'd better go to the front door... because things might get a lot worse.
So elders representing a number of tribes drove to New York City. When the United Nations opened, they went to the front door—and they said, "We represent the indigenous people of North America, and we wish to address the nations of the earth. We're going to give you four days to consider whether or not we will be allowed to speak." (But once again, and although every other nation voted to let them speak, the United States vetoed it.) So then, they knew that other things would happen on the earth...so they retreated to the Six Nations Reserve and they talked about this...they said, “We're going to divide the United States into four sections, and each year we're going to have a gathering—the White Roots of Peace Gatherings.
They began to have these in 1950. And they authorized certain people to speak English for the first time about these prophecies. Thomas Banyacya was authorized to speak English about what was on the stone tablets, and he has dedicated his life to doing this. And they began to tell us at these gatherings, “You're going to see a time when the human beings are going to find the blueprint that makes us.” They call that now DNA...They said, “They're going to cut this blueprint.” They call that now genetic splicing... “They're going to make new animals upon the earth, and they're going to think these are going to help us. And it's going to seem like they do help us.”
But maybe the grandchildren and great-grandchildren are going to suffer...''You're going to see a time when the eagle will fly its highest, and it will land upon the moon. and at that time, many of the Native people will be sleeping,' which symbolically means they have lost their teachings. We're at that time now. The Eagle has landed on the moon, 1969...Traditionally, native people from clear up in the Inuit region have shared with us this prophecy, clear down to the Quechuas in South America.
At this time you're going to see that things will speed up, that people on earth will move faster and faster. Grandchildren will not have time for grandparents. Parents will not have time for children. it will seem like time is going faster and faster. The elders advised us that, as things speed up, you yourself should slow down. The faster things go, the slower you go.
Because there's going to come a time when the earth is going to be shaken a third time. The Great Spirit has shaken the earth two times... to remind us that we are a human family...that we should have greeted each other as brothers and sisters. We had a chance after each shaking to come together in a circle that would have brought peace...but we missed that. (Now) they were talking...about the sign for the Third Shaking of the Earth... they're going to build what the elders called the house in the sky.
In the 1950s they talked about this...When you see people living in the sky on a permanent basis, you will know the Great Spirit is about to grab the earth...with both hands... and whoever dropped that gourd of ashes, upon them it is going to drop...(the elders say)..At that time there will be villages in this land so great that when you stand in the villages you will not be able to see out, in the prophecies they are called villages of stone, or prairies of stone... At the center of each and every one of these villages will be Native people, and they will walk as hollow shells upon a prairie of stone. ...which means they will have lost any of their traditional understandings; they will be empty within. They said that after the Eagle lands on the moon, some of these people will begin to leave these prairies of stone and come home and take up some of the old ways and begin to make themselves reborn, because it's a new day. But many will not.
And they said there's going to come a time when in the morning the sun is going to rise, and this village of stone will be there, and in the evening there would just be steam coming from the ground. They will be as steam. And in the center of many of those villages of stone, when they turn to steam, the Native people will turn to steam also because they never woke up and left the village.
They say there's going to be the Third Shaking of the Earth. It's not going to be a good thing to see, but we will survive it... And when we survive it, there's going to be another attempt to make a circle of the human beings on earth. And this time the Native people will not have to petition to join but will be invited to enter the circle because they say the attitude towards us will have changed by then, and people will let us into the circle, and all four colors of the directions will share their wisdom, and there will be peace on earth. This is coming close."
Mitakuye Oyasin and we pray for the people and for the ones who wish to walk in a good way as Children of the Earth.

PROPHECY AND PREDICTIONS
They were supposedly lost for many centuries in the jungles and oceans of Central America but legend has it that they contain ancient wisdom vital for the survival of mankind, an idea that has clearly captured the imagination of Steven Spielberg whose new blockbuster, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, is out May 22, 2008.
Vatican: It's OK to Believe in Aliens
VATICAN CITY - The Vatican's chief astronomer says that believing in aliens does not contradict faith in God. The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, says that the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones. New evidence from the Monte Verde archaeological site in southern Chile confirms its status as the earliest known human settlement in the Americas and provides additional support for the theory that one early migration route followed the Pacific Coast more than 14,000 years ago.

PLANET ALERT MAY 2008 w/ MAHALA
This year of 2008 is the ending of a cycle that most people are not even aware of. We are ending a 72 year cycle which started in 1936. Edgar Cayce said the magnetic shift started in 1936. This 72-year cycle is based on the time it takes a fixed star to move one degree in the heavens. Then it takes 2,160 years to move through the full cycle. In 1972 (when lots of people started to wake up) we entered the 36 year yang energy of that cycle. Now (2008) we are moving into the yin part of the cycle. According to the Mayan cycle, we move into Goddess energy this November 2008. May 2008 is the midpoint of this year and I think very exciting events are on the agenda.

Spirit's gimpy right front wheel has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The Mars Exploration Rover traversing around the Gusev Crater region on Mars has been forced to drive in reverse, dragging the jammed wheel behind. But that wheel gouged a trench a few inches deep through the Martian soil, revealing deposits of nearly pure silica that scientists believe formed when volcanic steam or hot water (or maybe both) percolated through the ground. Such deposits are found around hydrothermal vents like those in Yellowstone National Park, and when active, usually teem with life.

California Quake Scientists Detail Impact of 'Big One'
The jolt from the 7.8-magnitude temblor lasts for three minutes - 15 times longer than the disastrous 1994 Northridge quake. Water and sewer pipes crack. Power fails. Part of major highways break. Some high-rise steel frame buildings and older concrete and brick structures collapse. Hospitals are swamped with 50,000 injured as all of Southern California reels from a blow on par with the Sept. 11 attacks and Hurricane Katrina: $200 billion in damage to the economy, and 1,800 dead.
